(Amy's bar 2002)

Hi, my name is Amy Singh and this Web site is about the people I met and the adventures I had in manufacturing my own chocolate bar.

I am grateful to the wonderful people over the years who have helped me, taught me, and inspired me. Here is what the Amy's Chocolate Project means to me:

1. Learning how chocolate is made by actually making it

2. Not giving up when it seems impossible

3. Learning to taste the great chocolates of the world

4. Meeting the passionate and caring people behind the chocolate

5. Realizing that chocolate is all about the bean

6. Recognizing our debt to the people in equatorial countries who grow and harvest the beans for us (please support my t-shirt initiative)

I started this project at the age of nine. After eight years, I still have a great deal more to learn and experience. I invite you to join me in this quest.
